Version 0.3 (draft) · Last updated 2 October 2026
Draft adapted from the companypolicies.ai documents for EasyCOSHH. Pending solicitor review.
This COSHH assessment was produced with an online tool from the information provided. It is not professional advice. The employer must check it against the supplier's current Safety Data Sheet and the actual work, adapt it as needed and sign it off. It does not replace a competent person's assessment for high-risk substances (e.g. carcinogens, asbestos, lead, respiratory sensitisers). Prepared following HSE guidance on the COSHH Regulations 2002 (as amended) and the COSHH essentials approach; not endorsed by HSE.
High-risk substances
Use a competent person (for example an occupational hygienist or chartered safety practitioner) for carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, respiratory sensitisers such as isocyanates, respirable crystalline silica, and very toxic substances. Asbestos (Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012) and lead (Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002) have their own regulations and should not be assessed with this tool.
