COSHH guide
Free COSHH assessments: your first 5 are on us
Create a free account with your email address and your first 5 COSHH assessments are free, with the same full PDF and Word downloads as paid ones. No card needed. Our blank COSHH template is free too.
What's free
- 5 complete COSHH assessments when you create an account (we confirm your email with a one-time code)
- Uploading a Safety Data Sheet, answering the questions and previewing any assessment
- Our blank COSHH assessment template (PDF), with no sign-up
Free tools to keep your COSHH file up to date
- COSHH files: group assessments by site or department and download one combined PDF with a register index
- Share a COSHH file by read-only link, or print a QR code label for the chemical cupboard (you can turn the link off any time)
- Duplicate an assessment to reuse the task and controls for another product
- Email reminders before review dates, and a monthly check for newer supplier SDSs on products picked from our library
After your 5 free assessments
- £2.99 for a single assessment (PDF + Word, emailed copy)
- Or top up £10 of credit and each assessment costs 99p (the 10p left over stays in your balance)
- Prices are final; we're not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. No subscription.
Fair use
The free allowance is once per person and email address. Email aliases (for example name+1@ or dotted Gmail addresses) and disposable email addresses don't get another allowance, and we limit how many free accounts can be created from one connection.
Other free help
HSE publishes free guidance on COSHH, including its COSHH essentials direct advice sheets for common tasks. They're a good place to check your controls.
Questions
Is there a catch?
No card is needed and nothing renews. We hope you'll find it useful and buy more assessments later, and you can choose (it's optional) to get occasional product emails from us.
Are free assessments watermarked or cut down?
No. Free assessments are full downloads, identical to paid ones.
Important
EasyCOSHH is a tool, not professional advice. You must check each assessment against the supplier's Safety Data Sheet and your actual work, adapt it and sign it off. For high-risk substances (carcinogens, asbestos, lead, respiratory sensitisers such as isocyanates) use a competent person. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by HSE.
